Sports Day 2007
Every year, Sekolah Sri Sedaya will have their Annual Sports Day. This year was no exception, with the event being held on the 24th of March at the Majlis Perbandaran Subang Jaya (MPSJ) Stadium. As usual, participants of the glittering sport event were represented by the four sportshouses, Red House, Blue House, Yellow House and Green House.
Before the track and field events got underway, the traditional march past of the four participating houses was held. After the march past came the customary speeches from the school’s CEO, Mr Peter Tan and Guest of Honour, Mr. C.K. Ng.When the usual protocol was over, the sports day started. The awaited events were the 100m, 200 m, 400 m, 4x100 m and 4x400 m for theupper primary and secondary school students, while the lower primary students participated in telematches. The participants were cheered on by many enthusiastic Sedayans who were there to give their support.
The highlight of the day was the race between parents and teachers. The events were completed after a few hours and after plenty of sore throats. The winners of each event were presented with medals. The march past winner and overall champion for the primary school was Green House. For the secondary school, Blue House won 3 out of 4 categories, i.e March Past, Most Enthusiastic and Sports Awareness Week. Red House won the award for Best Tent Decoration. The overall champion was as expected, Blue House, followed by Red House, Green House and Yellow House. Maybe next year things would be different.
