Canteen Day 2007

On the 17th of August 2007, Sekolah Sri Sedaya hosted its Annual Canteen Day. Fortunately the weather was fine and as early as 7.30 a.m. the school hall was bustling with activity. The objective was to collect as much money as possible to be donated to charity.

The week before Canteen Day, teachers and student had been working very hard to prepare for this big event. It was indeed a very tiring week for all, nevertheless it was for a worthy cause. Every class had a stall to look after. Students representing their respective classes helped. Some parents opened a few stalls too.

There was a great variety of stalls selling delicious food like nasi briyani and nasi lemak to name a few and game stalls. There was also a booth to request songs, which provided great music for the day. Some students even organized a haunted house which was a hit. There were also football and basketball competitions. All the participants played very well and had lots of fun. Friends and families of the teachers and students came to give their support and I am sure they had loads of fun. Canteen Day was indeed a huge success! We all learned to work together as a team and to co-operate with one another. All our efforts were well paid off as we managed to collect a substantial sum which will be donated to the needy. Everyone had a good time and most importantly our objective was met.
